CSkills

Ok, it’s a new year, and one of your resolutions is to make a new you. Well, not really new, but an improved “you” in terms of skills and capability. This is necessary if you want to be continuously competitive in the labor market, and therefore, if you want a better paying job. Besides, you should never stop learning, and you should - everyday improve your skills, and what you can offer to your employers and society, in general. So what can you do, and where should you go, if these are your aims?

Visit www.cskills.org, this site help people, employers, and even students to develop their skills particularly in the field of constructions industry. If you are an employer, and you feel that your current personnel can use new trainings, and skills to meet existing needs and market trends, then this site is for you. Your workers can gain a qualification and CSCS card, via On-Site Assessment and Training (OSAT) or Experience Worker Practical Assessment (EWPA). They also offer training and certification to ensure the health and safety of both construction employees and the companies that hire them. Also, if you are new to the construction industry and you want to start working straight away, you can go for an apprenticeship and earn while you learn. The skills you develop will be recognized through NVQ/SVQs.
